We have had great success helping clients to overcome their fear of flying using our Fear of Flying Programme. Now into its fourth year, the Programme is a popular, convenient and reasonably priced choice for an individual therapy.

Do you dread taking a flight? Do you spend the entire flight alert to every sound or movement of the aircraft? Afraid to eat, sleep, leave your seat? Do you arrive at your destination exhausted and emotional? Or do you avoid flying altogether?
If so, you will know how much this narrows your world, making overseas holidays, visits or business trips impossible or something to dread.
We're pleased to tell you that help is at hand. We offer a specially tailored individual programme to tackle your fear and discomfort in a structured and effective way.
The Fear of Flying Programme involves a combination of successful relaxation, psychological and visualisation methods over a 3 hour session.
The Fear of Flying Programme empowers you to break your links between fear and flying and to establish new links between flying and feeling comfortable and relaxed.
In the session, you will gain a clearer understanding of fear, identify the physical feelings and move forward to discover and experience through visualization how you can feel when you fly – comfortable, calm and relaxed.
The Fear of Flying Programme uses a combination of techniques that will always be tailored to your individual needs and requirements. This is a therapy session just for you.
Some commonly asked questions about the Fear of Flying Programme
Will the programme be just for me?
Yes. Everyone’s reasons for fear of flying are different and everyone’s fear starts in a different situation. And, everyone experiences the discomfort when flying in a different way. The most effective way of overcoming this fear is to tailor the therapy to your individual needs.
How can the programme be tailored to my needs?
Each Fear of Flying Programme begins with a full consultation where your memories and feelings and your anticipation of your fear is discussed in a comfortable and supportive environment. Your therapist, experienced in the use of several psychological methods, will assess the methods of most use to you based on the information discussed in the consultation.
Is there a specific time that I should come for the programme?
The Fear of Flying Programme is available on four days of every week and can often be booked at short notice. Some clients come for treatment 6 – 8 months before flying; some come the day before flying. If you have a choice, it is recommended that you aim to take the programme 2 – 3 weeks before you fly.
Surely I need to take a practice flight as part of the programme?
No, this is not necessary at all. The beauty of hypnotherapy is that visualization plus relaxation provide the experience that you need for positive change without the treatment being ‘in vivo’. This ensures convenience, comfort, and moving ahead at your own pace, rather than feeling pulled along by others, or feeling failure if you decide that you are not ready to take the practice flight.
Do you offer back up sessions after the Programme?
Of course. The Programme has been designed to provide as much support as you will need, and this is the case for the majority of clients. You will also be given a specially created “Fear Free Flying” CD as part of the Programme to take home. If you feel you need any extra support, single one-hour sessions are available at normal rates at any time in the future.
